"Losing Pounds,
Those Last Stubborn Ones"

Losing the first few pounds is usually the easiest part of weight loss. That's good because it's a great motivator when you see results right away. But as you lose more, the rate of loss, and the speed with which you see visible effects, slows down. It's hard to keep going when you aren't seeing the benefits.

When you first start a new diet you´re usually very determined to loose weight. Unfortunately most of the weight you loose is water and muscle tissue. What you should be trying to loose is fat. It doesn´t really matter how much you weigh. Your body fat % is much more important.

So instead of saying; "I have to loose weight", you should be saying; "I need to melt some fat".

In her book "Melt the Fat", Lynn VanDyke from strength-training-woman.com has put together a full fitness program to help you loose those last stubborn pounds. As a matter of fact this program can be used to get rid of any extra flab you´d like to get rid off.

Lynn's book is full of information on fat loss and how to exercise properly and effectively. She also has a long list of healthy eating menus, with grocery lists to go with them. Everything to make exercising and losing fat easy and fun. By the way she doesn't just help you with the fat loss, there are also guidelines to setting goals and doing affirmations.

It motivated me to exercise more and I just feel much better because of that.

If you'd like to know more about the book or you'd like to order it, just click here.

Or if you'd like to listen to a message from Lynn just click on the following link Listen to "5 Tips to Keep the Fat Off For Good!" This piece of audio will give you an idea of what her book is all about.

Should you decide to take a closer look at how Lynn can help you melt some extra fat, please remember to come back here and read the rest of the information.

Did you know that muscle tissue burns more calories than fat tissue and that it looks leaner? So when you have more muscles you look thinner and it´s much easier to keep the "weight" down. Isn´t looking thin more important than how much you weigh?

If you want your body to look great, you need to treat it with love and care. It's an amazing piece of work that wants to be used.

"Don't Give Up"

Don't give up until you've reached your goal. Sometimes the difficulty in shedding those last 10 or 20 pounds can be loss of willpower. After achieving so much, it can be easy to say 'that is good enough'. If so, that may be OK. You may validly choose to reevaluate your goals and decide that it truly is good enough.

But beware of long term effects.

One long term effect is the difficulty of maintaining staying power for other goals. If you develop a habit of giving up before the job is complete, it becomes that much more difficult to stick with it the next time. On the upside, if you do go that last mile, the positive morale boost is a great reinforcer.

The other possibility in giving up too easily and too soon can be a greater difficulty in keeping the weight off. The earlier you let go of your original goal without achieving it, the more likely you are to gain at least some of that weight back. Sticking with it helps keep those hard earned results permanently.

Loosing "weight" is all about losing fat. And the only way you can have that great looking body is by exercising, eating healthy and thinking positive.
