You are on the Feel Great About Yourself "Love Your Body/Healthy Eating" page
"Healthy Eating,
A Sign of Loving Your Body"
One of the best things you can do for your body is healthy eating. I'm sure this does not come as a surprise to you.
Then why do so many of us decide to eat healthy and then give up after a few weeks or even days? I believe the main reason is that we don't love our body. Or better still don't love it enough.
Another reason is that we are taught to eat a certain way and find it very hard to change that. I have been eating white rice all my life. That is the main food in my culture. I recently switched over to brown rice and the results are amazing. I eat less, because it's more filling and I feel great.
"Give Your Body What It Needs"
Like I said before healthy eating is a sign of loving your body. When you love somebody you care about what happens to the person, right? Same goes for your body. When you love it, you care for it. You will notice that once you start feeling better about your body, start accepting it the way it is and start loving it, you automatically start eating more healthy foods. There are plenty of good sites out there that can give you advice on eating the right food. One of them I like is www.healthy-eating-made-easy.com. It's full of recipes and tips.

You might think by now: "So how do I start eating healthy". If you follow my advice on the page Love Your Body you'll be well on your way to taking better care of yourself. Believe me: Loving your body makes it so much easier to give it the right nutrients and to feel great about yourself.
You can start by introducing more vegetables and fruits into your diet one step at a time. Just make sure that you are eating the right food for you. We are all unique. What is good for me, might not be good for you. So take your time and experiment. See how you feel after eating something. For example: "How do you feel after eating a bowl of spaghetti? Is the combination of carbohydrates and proteins the right one for you or not? Do you feel sleepy, depressed or full of energy?"
Only you can find out for yourself. Just keep in mind that it is going to take some time. Please do take the time. Making a small change in the way you think and eat every month is better than trying to change overnight. Wanting to change too fast is not the way to go. You'll only get disappointed and give up. Small changes overtime last longer and yield more benefits.
There is no such thing as a quick fix. I was hoping for that when I first started on my path to feeling great about myself and often felt depressed when what I wanted didn't happen soon enough. Now after years of persistence I have come to a point where I have my own website, sharing my experiences and giving advice. This is something I always dreamed of, but thought it was impossible.
And remember: Healthy eating is a choice!

So love your body, feed it right and you will reap what you have sown.
