"Please make a donation to KIVA"
Giving to others, is a great way to feel great about yourself, because giving in itself is a great thing. When you see the gratitude on the other person's face, it gives such a wonderful feeling, you just want to keep on giving.
There are so many ways to give. You could offer your services for free or like Todd Silva talks about on his website, give away a dollar a day and notice how amazing it feels to do this. When you're able to give without expecting anything in return, you're giving unconditionally and there's no better feeling. You don't just feel great about yourself, but you let the Universe know that you have more than enough to give away. As a result you attract more, and are able to keep on giving.
Like I said, read more about it on Tod's site GiveAwayADollarADay.com.
Now back to what this page is about: "Making a donation to Kiva."
I just love the work Kiva does.
Kiva lets you lend to a specific entrepreneur in the developing world - empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty.
Together with other lenders you can help a businessperson, who is in a less fortunate position, set up a business that does not just help this person, but his or her family as well.
You know what they say; don't just give a hungry man a fish, teach him how to fish.
And that's exactly what Kiva does.
By the way, you have three choices:
In order to lend money you'll have to become a lender.
Once the requested loan has been put up by enough lenders, the entrepreneur gets the money and starts paying back. So end of the day you get your money back. And Kiva recently changed their policies. You now don't have to wait until the loan has been payed back in full to get access to the money you lent. As the money is payed back, you have the option to either lend to someone else or withdraw your money.
So, if you'd like to experience the power of giving, please consider donating to or lending money through:
